Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has awarded Amritpal Singh M.P. the opportunity to take oath of office. In order to facilitate this process, Punjab Police has been dispatched to Assam to retrieve Amritpal Singh from Dibrugarh Jail. Once all the necessary paperwork is completed, the Amritsar Dihat Police will escort Amritpal Singh to Delhi, where he is scheduled to take his oath on July 5.
The oath-taking ceremony will be conducted in the Lok Sabha Speaker’s Chamber, with strict security measures in place to ensure that no unauthorized individuals are able to interact with Amritpal Singh. A specialized team from Punjab Police, led by a senior officer, has been tasked with overseeing the safe transfer of Amritpal Singh to Delhi. Following the oath-taking ceremony, Amritpal Singh will be promptly returned to jail. It has been revealed that Amritpal Singh has been granted a four-day parole specifically for the purpose of taking his oath as a Member of Parliament.
