In Shimla district, tragedy struck as a car carrying five individuals plunged into the Sutlej river near Kumarsain, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving two others injured. The victims have been identified as Jitesh and his wife Vanshika, both residents of Kinnaur, as well as Abhay Kumar, a resident of Reckongpeo in Kinnaur. This unfortunate incident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers that can arise while traveling, emphasizing the importance of caution and safety on the roads.
Anshul Fanyan, a resident of Kinnaur, and Rahul Krishan, a resident of Kalpa in Kinnaur, have been identified as the individuals who sustained injuries in the incident. The local authorities have reported that the accident occurred on Thursday at approximately 5.30 pm on the Sunni-Luhri road. It was determined that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and fall into a steep ravine.The police were alerted by the locals and promptly arrived at the scene. Upon their arrival, they swiftly took action and ensured that the injured individuals were immediately transported to the Civil Hospital in Kumarsain. Tragically, three of the injured victims were pronounced dead upon arrival. The remaining two injured individuals were then referred to the Mahatma Gandhi Medical Services Complex in Khaneri, located in Rampur Bushahr. In light of the incident, SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi stated that the police have initiated an investigation to uncover the details surrounding the incident.
