Chandigarh, 25-04-2023 (Press Ki Taquat) – Haryana Power Minister Chaudhry Ranjit Singh said that due to the excellent policies of the state government, both the power distribution companies of the state have performed well by achieving A+ grade at the national level. He said that ‘Bijli Chori Phadho Abhiyan’ and ‘Mahara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ scheme have contributed significantly to this achievement, as they have increased the revenue of power companies. He said that the Haryana government is making efforts to provide continuous and uninterrupted electricity to all its consumers.
Mr. Chautala said that the Union Ministry of Power has recently released the 11th Integrated Annual Report of Electricity Distribution Companies, in which both the Electricity Distribution Companies of Haryana (UHBVN and DHBVN) have shown exceptional performance, improving on the previous consolidated annual report. . The present report covers 43 State Discoms, 8 Private Discoms and 12 Power Departments from across India.
Chairman of Electricity Distribution Corporation Mr. P.K. Das said that both UHBVN and DHBVN have been placed in A+ group. DHBVN improved its rating from 85.71 to 89.30 and was placed at the 9th position. And UHBVN improved its rating from 74.70 to 87.60 to rank 10th.
Mr. Saket Kumar, Managing Director, UHBVN said that UHBVN has improved from its previous rating of 14th to 10th. Similarly, DHBVN improved its previous rating from 12th to 9th. Both the power corporations have achieved A+ grade, performing well across the country.
He said that electricity distribution companies of Haryana state are constantly improving their conditions. This has happened due to the wisdom and efficient leadership of the government.
