Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson said that the said complainant approached the Vigilance Bureau and alleged that the said policeman has demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 in exchange for canceling the case filed against him and his family members in Sandod police station. He said that after preliminary investigation of this complaint, a trap was laid by a team of Vigilance Bureau’s Economic Crime Branch, Ludhiana Range and the said accused policeman was arrested on the spot by taking a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses. was taken In this regard, a case has been registered against the accused ASI at Ludhiana police station of Vigilance Bureau under Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation of the matter is going on.
