E<\/span>xpressing concern over the\u00a0law and order situation in Manipur<\/a>, the Supreme Court sought a detailed status report from the state government on the measures taken to curb ethnic violence in the state.<\/p>\n

The Supreme Court asked the government to list the steps taken towards building rehabilitation camps for homeless and violence-affected people, deployment of forces, and the law and order situation in Manipur.<\/p>\n

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta appearing for the Centre and Manipur government told the Supreme Court that the situation is improving in the state, though slowly.<\/p>\n

The Supreme Court has asked the Manipur government to submit the report by July 10 when the matter will be heard next.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
