India’s most wanted terrorist Shahid Latif has been killed in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

As per reports, Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Shahid Latif,\u00a0the mastermind of 2016 Pathankot attack, was shot dead by “three\u00a0unknown gunmen” in a mosque at Sialkot.<\/p>\n

In 2010, the UPA government had released 25 terrorists as a goodwill gesture. One of them was terrorist Shahid Latif.<\/p>\n

He went on to plan the January 2, 2016, attack on the Pathankot airbase where seven IAF personnel were killed when four JeM terrorists sneaked into the station.<\/p>\n

The siege went on for three days.<\/p>\n

Latif, alias Bilal, a designated terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, is learnt to have been shot dead along with two of his associates.<\/p>\n

He had infiltrated into the Kashmir Valley in 1993 and was arrested a year later. He was in Jammu jail with Masood Azhar, founder of the JeM, till 2010, officials said.<\/p>\n

“This is the biggest blow to JeM on Pakistan soil,” an official said.<\/p>\n
