The Chief Minister of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Sukhbir Singh Badal, has filed a defamation case against Bhagwant Singh Mann in the court here, demanding a compensation of one crore rupees. In the petition submitted to the court, the Badal family and the Shiromani Akali Dal have accused Mann of tarnishing their reputation. The court has issued a summons to the Chief Minister for February 19.<\/p>\n
Mr. Badal stated that Bhagwant Mann has been making false allegations against the Badal family even before becoming the Chief Minister, and now that he has become the Chief Minister, he has not stopped doing so. He said that Bhagwant Mann falsely claimed that he had visited their Balaasar farm in Haryana, which was acquired during the Akali Dal government’s rule, and that he had visited the transport of the Badal family.
