He got on to the stage while a team of artistes from North Zone Cultural Centre was regaling the gathering with an instrumental rendition of patriotic songs.<\/p>\n<p>Mann sang several paras of the \u2018Challa\u2019, and stopped to address the gathering declaring that he was about to become a father in March. He said he did not know the gender of the child. \u201cIn the past, I have asked Gurdas Maan to change the lines in one paragraph. The song goes\u2026 Challa nau nau kheve, puttar mithde meve. I requested Mann Sahib to change it to \u201cbache mithde meve\u201d. This is because those who have daughters too deserve to celebrate them.
