It was on 30th January 1948 that Mahatma Gandhi was shot and killed. After Gandhi\u2019s demise, his death anniversary started being observed as Martyrdom Day. This day is remembered as a very sad day.On 23rd March, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were hanged, and to commemorate their sacrifice, Martyrs\u2019 Day is observed.
