X called for the extension of freedom of expression to the affected posts.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Electronics and IT has ordered social media platforms to temporarily block 177 accounts linked to the farmers&#8217; protest, as requested by the Ministry of Home Affairs. X stated that they will comply with the orders by withholding these accounts and posts in India alone, but they maintain their disagreement with these actions.<\/p>\n<p>They also mentioned that a writ appeal challenging the government&#8217;s blocking orders is still pending and called for the order to be made public to enhance transparency.
