Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday joined the audience to witness the inaugural performance of the acclaimed theatrical production \u2018Hamare Ram\u2019 in Mohali, featuring renowned actor Ashutosh Rana in a powerful lead performance, marking the beginning of a statewide cultural initiative under which the Punjab Government will organise 41 free performances across 12 cities during August and September. Describing the initiative as an effort to take the timeless teachings of Lord Sri Ram to the people, the Chief Minister said the programme aims to strengthen the values of Sanatan Dharma while spreading the message of truth, righteousness, compassion and unity through the powerful medium of theatre.<\/p>\n
Reaffirming his government\u2019s commitment to preserving Punjab\u2019s rich cultural heritage, the Chief Minister said the performances have been made free of cost so that people from all sections of society can experience and draw inspiration from the life and ideals of Lord Sri Ram.<\/p>\n
Addressing a packed auditorium during the inaugural performance, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, \u201cThe Punjab Government is organising 41 performances of the acclaimed production across 12 cities of the state during August and September to promote the rich cultural heritage and traditional values of Punjab.\u201d<\/p>\n
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, \u201cPunjab is a sacred and historic land, and the state government is committed to perpetuating its glorious legacy. The Punjab Government is organising the Hamare Ram show, which beautifully brings to life the timeless teachings and ideals of Lord Sri Ram. Detailing the statewide initiative, he said, \u201cThe Punjab Government will organise 41 performances of Hamare Ram during the months of August and September, with the series commencing today from Mohali. These performances will be held across 12 cities of Punjab, namely Mohali, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Ludhiana, Sangrur and Khanna. Emphasising the cultural and spiritual importance of the production, the Chief Minister said, \u201cThe state government is committed to taking the timeless message of Sanatan Dharma to the people through the historic epic of the Ramayana. The theatrical production Hamare Ram has received widespread appreciation at both the national and international level, particularly from the younger generation. The show presents the Ramayana from unique and unexplored perspectives, offering audiences a fresh and enriching experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
Underscoring the objective of the programme, he said, \u201cThe main objective is to inspire the younger generation by promoting India\u2019s spiritual, cultural and moral heritage while showcasing world-class theatrical excellence. Speaking about the relevance of Lord Sri Ram\u2019s teachings in the present times, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, \u201cIn today\u2019s world, where love, mutual respect and social harmony are increasingly under strain, the teachings of Lord Sri Ram continue to serve as a guiding light for humanity. This initiative provides an opportunity to further strengthen social cohesion and communal harmony. Referring to similar cultural initiatives of the government, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, \u201cEarlier, our government also organised Ek Shaam Shiv Ke Naam across all districts of the state, which received an overwhelming response from the public.
