According to the data released by the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) today, a total of 157 cases of the JN1 variant of Covid-19 have been reported in the country. Of these, maximum 78 cases have been reported in Kerala. After this there are 34 cases in Gujarat. In many states, the number of corona cases has increased in the last few weeks. So far, the presence of the JN1 variant has been detected in 9 states and Union Territories. According to INSACOG, 78 cases have been reported in Kerala, 34 in Gujarat, 18 in Goa, eight in Karnataka, seven in Maharashtra, five in Rajasthan, four in Tamil Nadu, two in Telangana and Delhi. 141 such cases were reported in December and 16 in November.
