During PM Modi’s event, Harsimrat Kaur Badal brought up agricultural concerns and was met with chanting from the audience.

Bathinda, February 26 (press ki taquat bureau):  During the virtual inauguration of AIIMS-Bathinda by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal addressed the issue of the farmers’ protest and urged the Governor and Union ministers present to resolve the matter. Harsimrat emphasized the distressing situation faced by the farmers at the Punjab-Haryana borders and highlighted the previous deaths of 600 farmers during their fight for rights. She expressed her disappointment that the farming community was once again compelled to take to the streets. In response to Harsimrat’s concerns, BJP workers raised slogans against her. After the event, Harsimrat clarified that she raised the issue as the BJP’s state head and Union ministers were present. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who joined the event virtually, acknowledged the government’s efforts in the agriculture sector and mentioned ongoing talks to address existing problems. Puri also urged seasoned politicians to refrain from injecting their political frustrations into such occasions. AIIMS-Bathinda, with an initial project cost of Rs 925 crore and 750 beds, has been operational for the past four years.
