Chandigarh, 12 march (press ki taquat bureau): Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana BJP president and OBC leader, was sworn in as the state chief minister on Tuesday, taking his oath in Hindi. Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Mool Chand Sharma, Ranjit Singh Chautala, JP Dalal, and Banwari Lal also took their oaths as ministers.
Saini was chosen as the next chief minister shortly after Manohar Lal Khattar and his cabinet ministers resigned. Saini, an MP from Kurukshetra, was elected as the leader of the state BJP legislature group with unanimous support. Home Minister Anil Vij left the meeting when Saini’s name was proposed and is unlikely to return as a minister in the new Cabinet, according to sources.
