Chandigarh, March 13 (press ki taqaut bureau): On Wednesday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini initiated a resolution in the state Assembly to request a trust vote for his government. The special session of the Haryana Assembly commenced with obituary references. Saini received a warm welcome with the sound of desks being thumped, and ML Khattar was seated beside him.
The breakaway JJP faction MLAs, including Devinder Babli, Ishwar Singh, and Ram Kumar Gautam, were present in the assembly premises but left when the trust vote motion was brought up. Leader of opposition Bhupinder Hooda and Congress MLA BB Batra requested a one-hour adjournment, stating that the House was convened on short notice and some members were still on their way.
Congress MLA Raghuvir Kadian expressed concerns about the state’s instability and suggested imposing President’s rule. He also advocated for a secret ballot on the trust vote, claiming that five BJP MLAs would vote against the motion.
