New Delhi, March 14 (Press ki taquat bureau): A Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat organized by farmers at Ramlila Maidan prompted the Delhi Police to increase security measures and deploy additional forces for vehicle checks, potentially causing traffic congestion in central parts of the city.
In response, the police have issued a traffic advisory advising commuters to avoid roads leading to central Delhi and have heightened the presence of paramilitary personnel at the city’s borders to prevent farmers from entering with tractor-trolleys.
Despite granting permission for the event, the Delhi Police have imposed restrictions, including a cap of 5,000 attendees, a ban on tractor-trolleys, and no march to Ramlila Maidan, to ensure safety and order during the Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat organized by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha.
