Ambala, March 26 (press ki taquat bureau): On Tuesday, AAP workers held protests in various parts of Haryana, including Ambala City, Karnal, Rohtak, and Faridabad, against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The protesters gathered near the BJP’s Ambala City office and raised slogans against the BJP-led government at the Centre.
AAP state unit president Sushil Gupta accused the BJP government of being afraid of the good work done by the Kejriwal administration and stated that the entire country supports Kejriwal and the AAP. The protests also criticized the BJP government in Haryana for the alleged police lathicharge on AAP workers and party leaders in Kurukshetra on March 22. Following Kejriwal’s arrest, the AAP had called for nationwide protests against the BJP.
Kejriwal is currently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate until March 28, facing allegations of direct involvement in a conspiracy related to the formulation of the excise policy favoring specific individuals.
