Jalandhar, April 8 (Press ki taquat bureau): Surinder Kamboj, the father of AAP Jalalabad MLA Goldy Kamboj, has been announced as the candidate for Punjab’s Ferozepur Lok Sabha seat by the BSP on Monday. Kamboj recently joined the Bahujan Samaj Party in Jalandhar and was welcomed by BSP state president Jasbir Singh Garhi, Nawanshahr MLA Nachhatar Pal, and other party leaders.
Despite facing controversies and criminal cases, Kamboj believes that his political experience and the support of the Kamboj community, which has over 3 lakh electorates, give him a good chance in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
He also mentioned that his ideology may differ from that of his son, MLA Jagdeep Kamboj, who distanced himself from his father after his arrest in a criminal case of extortion in April 2023.
