Bengal, 27 April 2024 (Press ki taquat bureau): During the Lok Sabha election campaign, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee encountered an unfortunate incident on Saturday when she sustained injuries while boarding a helicopter. Initial reports suggest that as she was taking a seat after boarding her helicopter in Durgapur, Paschim Bardhaman, the Chief Minister slipped and fell, resulting in a minor injury. Fortunately, her security personnel were quick to assist her. Despite the mishap, Banerjee displayed resilience and continued her journey to Asansol without delay.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time the West Bengal Chief Minister has faced an injury. Just a little over a month ago, she suffered a fall at her Kalighat residence in Kolkata, which left her with a forehead injury. Following the incident, the 69-year-old leader was promptly taken to the State-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata. In a statement, the hospital’s director, Manimoy Bandopadhyay, revealed that Banerjee had been brought in with injuries sustained from a fall caused by “a push from behind.” The fall resulted in a cerebral concussion and a noticeable cut on her forehead and nose.
