Chandigarh, May 1 (Press ki taquat bureau): Former Punjab MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy, accompanied by his supporters, officially became a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, as announced by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer from Sangrur.
Mann highlighted that the decision to welcome Goldy into the party was based on the advice of AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, emphasizing the importance of recruiting talented individuals from other political parties who may have been overlooked.
Expressing his belief in empowering the youth in politics, Mann mentioned that Goldy, who felt neglected in the Congress party, was being embraced as a younger brother within the AAP, symbolizing a fresh start and a platform for positive change in Punjab.
