Imphal, February 24 (press ki taquat bureau): An IED explosion in Manipur’s Imphal West district resulted in the death of one person and left another injured, as confirmed by the police on Saturday. The tragic incident occurred at the DM College complex on Friday night, with a 24-year-old man named Oinam Kenegy losing his life due to the injuries sustained.
The injured individual is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital, with reports indicating that their condition is critical. As of now, no group has come forward to claim responsibility for the explosion that caused the casualties.
In separate incidents, unidentified individuals set fire to the office of the United Committee Manipur (UCM) in Lamphelpat, Imphal West district, and vandalized a school’s administrative section in Imphal East district. The school’s premises also saw a vehicle being destroyed in the early hours of Saturday, as reported by a police officer.
