A civilian lost his life and nine others sustained injuries when an unidentified aircraft crashed and ignited in the village of Aklian Kalan, located in Bathinda district, during the early hours of Wednesday. The victim has been identified as Govind, a farm laborer hailing from Charkhi Dadri in Haryana. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in a harvested wheat field, situated approximately 500 meters from the nearest residential area. Eyewitness accounts reveal that several farm laborers were present at the local grain market late Tuesday night when they observed the aircraft flying at an unusually low altitude. Shortly thereafter, the aircraft crashed into the fields, and as some individuals approached the burning wreckage, an explosion erupted, resulting in Govind’s immediate death and injuring nine others. As of now, there is no official information regarding the pilot or the aircraft’s origin. Authorities have secured the area, and an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the cause of the crash and to identify the aircraft involved.
