Patiala, June 1 (Press ki taquat bureau): The Deputy Commissioner went to the field to review the voting which started peacefully and where he inspected the voting process and the arrangements made at the polling booths, he also encouraged the voters and the volunteers including the election staff. While visiting various polling booths, Returning Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare encouraged the voters and said that everyone’s contribution is important to become a part of democracy. He said that despite the hot weather, voters coming out of their homes to exercise their right to vote is a matter of pride for Patiala district.
Shaukat Ahmed Pare increased the enthusiasm of the election staff by reviewing the ongoing election process at the polling booths. He said that the entire staff deployed to carry out the voting process deserves congratulations. He said that performing electoral duty honestly and diligently shows true determination in democracy. The Deputy Commissioner also encouraged 200 students of government schools, who were performing the duty of monitoring the polling booths through webcasting at the Zilla Parishad.
The District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner also visited the chhabila set up at different places by various NGOs, Red Cross Society and volunteers in view of the heat. He treated Chhabeel for encouragement and also tested it himself.
