Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi emerged victorious in the state of Punjab after the election results were announced. Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi of Congress is leading from Patiala seat with 305616 votes. Dr. Aam Aadmi Party in the second place. Balbir Singh is running at the second position with 290785 votes while Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Parneet Kaur is running at the third position with 288998 votes. According to the trends of the Election Commission, the Congress is leading on six seats in Punjab, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leading on three seats. The Congress candidates are leading in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurdaspur, Patiala, and Ludhiana constituencies, while the AAP candidates are leading in Hoshiarpur, Sangrur, and Anandpur Sahib. In Amritsar, Congress candidate Gurjit Singh Aujla is leading with a margin of 7,817 votes against his nearest rival Tarunjit Singh Sandhu of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and in Fatehgarh Sahib, Congress candidate Amar Singh, who is the current Member of Parliament, is also leading with a margin of 15,434 votes against AAP’s Gurpreet Singh GP. In Jalandhar Reserve constituency, Congress party’s Charnjit Singh Channi is leading quite ahead of his nearest rival and BJP candidate Sushil Rinku. Channi is leading with 61,882 votes. In Ludhiana, Congress candidate Amarinder Singh Raja Warring is trailing behind BJP’s Ravneet Singh Bittu.
