Chandigarh, February 3(Press Ki Taquat)– Haryana Governor, Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya said that people should come forward for organ donation so that life can be saved if the organ is received on time. There is a need to make people aware for this. Shri Dattatreya was addressing as the chief guest at USICON-23, the 56th Annual Convention of the Urological Society of India in Gurugram.
He said that the medical world should make the techniques related to dialysis low cost and safe so that the people of rural areas and small towns can get its benefits. The Governor said that there have been vast changes in the methods of treatment through various technologies at the global level. In such a situation, India is rapidly adopting innovations and best technologies to provide quality healthcare to the people. He said that now the surgery has become more precise with less side effects. Today, every major government and private hospital in India has robotic facility, the benefits of which are being given to patients from all sections of the society.
He said that in the Union Budget-2023 of our country moving towards continuous improvement in health services, Rs 89,155 crore has been allocated to the health sector with an increase of about 13 percent. Shri Dattatreya said that due to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Ayushman Bharat Yojana has become the world’s largest health insurance scheme today. In this sequence, in Haryana, my government has taken a historic step and started Chirayu Yojana (Ayushman Bharat). With this, about 29 lakh families with an annual income limit of Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand will be benefitted. The Governor said that doctors have a special place in our society. He is no less than God in the eyes of people. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he risked his life while serving the people in distress. We lost many doctors on duty during the pandemic, but they continued to serve the people with unwavering commitment and highest sense of dedication.
He said that it is a matter of pride for us that today our country is at the forefront of medical education and training of urologists. During this, the Governor also released the souvenir of the Urological Society of India along with visiting the exhibition based on new inventions in the medical field. Former HOD of Urology, AIIMS Delhi Prof. SN Wadhwa, President of Urology Society of India Dr. Ravindra Sabnis, Secretary Dr. Keshav Murthy, President (Elect) Dr. Sanjay Kulkarni, Organizing Chairman of USICON-23 and National Medical Commission Dr. Rajeev Sood, member of urology from all over the country were present.
