Chandigarh, September 28
Punjab Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian on Thursday handed over an appointment letter to Manjit Singh, newly appointed Fisherman on compassionate grounds in the Fisheries department.
While handing over the appointment letter to the beneficiary here, S. Khudian said that although the loss of the beloved ones is irreparable, the appointment will help to mitigate the woes of the family. He also implored him to discharge his duty diligently.
The Cabinet Minister further said that the department is filling all the vacant posts to increase its efficiency under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government’s mission to provide maximum employment opportunities to the state youth. He informed that appointment letters have been issued to two Fisheries Officers and nine clerks against direct quota vacant posts, besides providing jobs to two Fishermen on compassionate grounds in the department.
Director Fisheries Mr. Jasvir Singh, Director Animal Husbandry Dr. Sangeeta Toor and other officials of the department were also present on the occasion.
