Chandigarh, July 16 (Press ki taquat bureau):  The Haryana Excise Policy 2024-25 has recently been brought to the attention of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, as they have issued a notice of motion to the State of Haryana in response to a petition challenging a specific clause within the policy. This clause prohibits bars and pubs in all districts, except Gurugram and Faridabad, from operating beyond midnight.

The petition, which was presented before the Bench of Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Jagmohan Bansal, was filed by DA Bodega Hospitality and other petitioners. They have not only challenged the clause in question but have also sought directions to the State of Haryana and other respondents to allow them to operate bars and pubs on a par with those in Gurugram and Faridabad.
