Chandigarh, January 30, 2020(Press Ki Taquat): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday greeted the family members of Under-19 T20 World Cup winner Shafali Verma at her residence in Rohtak.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the Indian women’s cricket team, led by Haryana’s daughter Shafali Verma, had won the Under-19 World Cup. The state and the country are proud of daughter Shefali and the entire cricket team on this historic victory. The Chief Minister congratulated and congratulated the young team.
During the meeting, Shefali Verma’s grandfather Sant Lal Verma and father Sanjeev Verma also honoured the Chief Minister by presenting him a shawl. Other family members were also present on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning that under the leadership of Shafali Verma, the first Women’s Under-19 T20 Cricket World Cup has been named after India. The Indian women’s cricket team, led by Haryana’s daughter Shafali Verma, created history by defeating England to win the World Cup. In the final match played on January 29, the Indian team defeated England by seven wickets. With this, Bhanrat became the first country to win this tournament.
