New Delhi, April 30 (Press ki taquat bureau):  Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal have been included in India’s provisional squad for the T20 World Cup due to their impressive performances in the IPL. However, Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh have been placed in the reserves group as the selectors opted for more experienced players. The squad, led by Rohit Sharma, was announced by the BCCI after a meeting between the secretary and chief selector. Hardik Pandya has been retained as the vice-captain, despite his recent poor form, while Shivam Dube has also made the cut based on his strong showing in the IPL. Samson has been included as the second wicketkeeper-batter, behind Rishabh Pant, and Chahal joins Kuldeep Yadav as the team’s second wrist spinner. Gill and Rinku Singh have been named as standbys, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli complete the top-order. The T20 World Cup is set to begin on June 2 in the USA and the Caribbean, with India’s first match against Ireland on June 5 in New York.
