New Delhi, June 19 (Press ki taquat bureau): In a significant political development, Kiran Choudhary, a prominent figure in the Haryana Congress and a five-term MLA, has made the decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This move marks the end of her 20-year association with the grand old party and signifies her commitment to working tirelessly to ensure the BJP’s return to power in the state for a third consecutive term. The formal joining ceremony took place at the BJP headquarters, coinciding with the birthday celebrations of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi at the AICC headquarters in the capital. Kiran, who is 69 years old, was accompanied by her daughter, Shruti Choudhary, a former Member of Parliament, as they took the BJP membership in the presence of several prominent BJP leaders, including Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh, and BJP Haryana co-in charge Surinder Singh Nagar. Kiran expressed her enthusiasm for her new political affiliation, stating that she now embraces the saffron color associated with the BJP, just as her late father-in-law, Chaudhry Bansi Lal, did. She urged her fellow party members to let go of the Congress flag, which bears the emblem of a palm, and instead embrace the BJP flag as they work tirelessly to ensure the party’s success in every village. Kiran also cited her inspiration for joining the BJP as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose transformative decisions have elevated India’s global standing. This move by Kiran Choudhary is expected to have a significant impact on the political landscape of Haryana and the upcoming state elections.
