In regards to the development projects in Jalandhar city, Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh announced today that the state government has allocated a substantial amount of Rs 10 crore for the construction of roads. During a review meeting, the Minister took charge and instructed the officials from the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar and the District Administration to diligently oversee and ensure the timely completion of all road construction projects. This initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure of the city and provide better connectivity for its residents.The Minister emphasized the government’s unwavering dedication to achieving comprehensive development in the state, assuring that there were abundant funds available to accomplish this monumental undertaking. In order to maintain the highest standards, he instructed the officials to diligently oversee all projects, emphasizing that any compromise on the quality of roads and other initiatives would be completely unacceptable. Furthermore, he specifically instructed the officials to commence the construction of the revitalization project for Dr BR Ambedkar Park, highlighting that tenders had already been issued for this purpose and that the park’s rejuvenation would be carried out with a budget of Rs 1 crore.The Minister emphasized that the Local Bodies Department was implementing groundbreaking measures to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens. The department’s primary focus was on filling the vacant positions within the municipal authorities, which would greatly contribute to the progress of development projects. In addition, the recruitment process for approximately 400 firemen was also in progress, aiming to bolster the fire services in urban areas. These initiatives would undoubtedly expedite the overall pace of development and ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.
