The incident was captured in a viral video, showing the woman in police custody while she faced harassment from the crowd. Fortunately, a woman police officer intervened, urging the crowd to refrain from violence and ensuring the woman’s safe departure from the scene. The Punjab Police has recognized the officer’s bravery and recommended her for the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal, the highest gallantry award for law enforcement in Pakistan.
