HARYANA, FEBRUARY 8 (press ki taquat bureau):
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Rewari on 16th February to inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Along with the inauguration of AIIMS, he will also be inaugurating several other important schemes. This information was provided by Union Minister Rao Inderjit.During the rally held in July 2015 in Bawal, Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal announced the establishment of an AIIMS in Manethi village. More than 210 acres of land were allocated by the panchayat of Manethi for this purpose. However, this announcement remained stuck in files for several years. For almost a year, the villagers of Manethi struggled for the establishment of AIIMS. Then, just before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the central government announced the establishment of AIIMS in Manethi in the interim budget. However, during this time, the Forest Advisory Committee objected to the land in Manethi being classified as a forest area.Due to the concerns of the Department of Environment, this land was cleared. Subsequently, the villagers of Majra offered the land to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The government also acquired the land of the farmers in the village along with the panchayat land. A total of 210 acres of land has been obtained, but the matter had been stuck for several months due to the tender process. However, now the tender for the construction of AIIMS has been finalized. Therefore, the obstacles in the path of AIIMS have been resolved.
