Chandigarh, February 21 (press ki taquat bureau):   The Haryana Police has issued a warning to owners of excavators, urging them to remove their machines from the protest site where farmers are planning to resume their ‘Delhi Chalo’ march. The police stated that if these excavators are used by the protesting farmers, they could potentially harm the security personnel deployed at the border points of Punjab and Haryana. The police emphasized that providing equipment to the protestors or failing to withdraw them from the site could result in criminal liability.

In response to the rejection of the government’s proposal for procuring pulses, maize, and cotton at the MSP by government agencies for five years, the farmers will resume their march on Wednesday. The Haryana Police has requested their Punjab counterparts to seize bulldozers and other earthmoving equipment at the interstate border, as they believe the protesters intend to use them to break barricades. The Director General of Police in Haryana has expressed concerns about the potential threat these equipment pose to the security forces deployed at the border.

Following this, the Punjab DGP has communicated to senior police officers, instructing them to prevent JCBs and other heavy earthmoving equipment from reaching the Khanauri and Shambu border points. It has been reported that the protesters have plans to break barricades and enter Haryana, and allowing such equipment to reach the protest site could facilitate their actions.
