New Delhi, May 26 (Press ki taquat bureau): Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence in the BJP-led NDA coalition securing a historic victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, while also suggesting that the Opposition INDIA bloc would face fragmentation post-elections.
During an interview with The Tribune ahead of the final phase of the 18th General Election, PM Modi addressed various topics, clarifying that his controversial remarks on “infiltrators” and “those with more children” were not directed towards Muslims.
PM Modi reiterated the BJP’s dedication to implementing the Uniform Civil Code by his third term and criticized the Congress, predicting a lackluster performance similar to that of 2014 and 2019. Anticipating gains in southern states, PM Modi labeled the opposition alliance as opportunistic and lacking a clear vision or mission.
The Prime Minister highlighted the achievements of his government, including lifting 25 crore people out of poverty and providing basic amenities like toilets and gas connections to millions of underprivileged households, as significant milestones during the NDA’s decade-long rule.
