New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant five-nation tour on Wednesday, with the objective of enhancing India’s connections with the Global South and fortifying partnerships across the Atlantic. This diplomatic journey, which is set to take place from July 2 to July 9, will see the Prime Minister visiting Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia. In his statement prior to departure, he expressed confidence that these visits would not only strengthen the bonds of friendship among nations in the Global South but also bolster collaborative efforts on both sides of the Atlantic. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of deepening engagements within multilateral platforms such as BRICS, the African Union, ECOWAS, and CARICOM, highlighting India’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and solidarity in addressing global challenges.
