Chandigarh, June 20 (Press ki taquat bureau): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has recently unveiled a series of stringent measures aimed at dismantling the illicit collaboration between lower-ranking police officers and drug smugglers. In a bid to eradicate this “nexus,” the Chief Minister has declared that any police official found to be involved in drug trafficking will face immediate dismissal from their position. This announcement serves as a clear indication of the suspected connection between lower-ranking police officers and drug peddlers. Furthermore, in line with the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Deputy Inspector General of Police Gaurav Yadav, the Punjab Police has intensified its efforts to curb the drug supply at the ‘Point of Sale.’ This strategy has resulted in a relentless crackdown on drug-related activities for four consecutive days.
