Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian stated that Punjab has been reaching new heights in the education sector since the AAP government took office three years ago.
The Punjab government is inaugurating new infrastructure projects worth Rs 2,000 Cr in 12,000 Government schools across the state. Today, Cabinet Minister Cabinet Minister Mundian inaugurated the works worth Rs 2 Cr in schools in Sahnewal and Dakha.
Describing today as a red-letter day in Punjab’s history, aimed at ensuring a bright future for students, the Cabinet Minister inaugurated a number of infrastructure development projects in various government schools in Sahnewal. These projects include new smart classrooms, science labs, boundary walls, and separate toilets for girls and boys, as well as sports grounds. He emphasized that the government schools are now surpassing private and elite institutions, making them the preferred choice for many parents. The government schools are undergoing a complete transformation, with a significant portion of the budget allocated to education, as highlighted by the Finance Minister recently.
Mundian underscored the transformative power of education, calling it the foundation of society. He stated that education has the ability to shape young minds into doctors, scholars, engineers, civil servants, and leaders.
The Minister also urged parents and teachers to nurture the potential of every child, emphasizing the critical role of education in building a prosperous society. He highlighted the initiative of Punjab Sikhya Kranti, launched by the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann., as a commendable effort to ensure a bright future for students.
