Chandigarh, March 30 (Press ki taquat bureau): Several regions in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Haryana experienced heavy rain and thunderstorms on Saturday morning, offering relief from the sudden heat.
In Muktsar, a rain and hailstorm caused damage to wheat crops on Friday night, while Ludhiana farmers faced lodging issues due to rainfall and high-velocity winds. The weather department extended the rain forecast in Punjab until March 29, attributing the weather changes to a western disturbance over central Pakistan.
Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 21.8 degrees Celsius, above the season’s average, with humidity levels at 64 per cent. The India Meteorological Department predicted thunderstorms and rain during the day, with a maximum temperature of around 37 degrees Celsius.
