ਸੋਸ਼Chandigarh, Jun 26 (PTI) The tussle between the Punjab government and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) over amending the Sikh Gurdwara Act on the transmission of Gurbani from Sri Darbar Sahib has escalated. Today, where S. G. P. C. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s first statement has come out in the meantime, while the Congress repealed the Sikh Gurdwara Amendment Act during the session Reacting sharply to the media, the Chief Minister said, “Shiromani Akali Dal Badal’s ‘chief spokesperson’ Harjinder Singh Dhami, in today’s session, there was any discussion on the free broadcast of the holy Gurbani to all, or was the session called off by passing a resolution to abuse me? The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) had convened a session at Teja Singh Samundari Hall today. During this time, a resolution was passed against the Gurdwara Amendment Act. G. P. C. President Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the SGPC has a 103-year-old history and the Act was enacted in 1925. Today, the law is through the stakes. G. P. C. These decisions are being taken due to grabbing the rights of the BJP and implementing Kejriwal’s anti-Sikh thinking.Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the Punjab government has taken the decision on its own by going beyond its rights. Therefore, the Punjab government should immediately cancel the amendment made in the Gurdwara Act, if the government does not do so, then the morcha will be started by offering prayers from Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The SGPC does not approve of any amendment.
