Hyderabad, March 28 (Press ki taquat bureau): Sunrisers Hyderabad created history by setting a new record for the highest ever IPL total of 277/3 against Mumbai Indians. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma showcased an incredible display of power-hitting, with Sharma even snatching the franchise record for the fastest fifty from Head.
Heinrich Klaasen’s unbeaten 80 off 34 balls added to the fireworks, helping SRH break an 11-year-old record. Despite Mumbai’s bowlers being left shell-shocked, their batters put up a strong fight and ended at 246/5 in 20 overs.
The match witnessed a record-breaking 38 sixes and marked the first time 500 runs were scored in a T20 match. MI skipper Hardik Pandya acknowledged the challenging conditions for bowlers and praised SRH’s exceptional batting performance.
