However, this claim was promptly refuted by Iranian officials, who stated that no such proposal had been received and that there is no justification for a ceasefire at this time. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi emphasized that it was Israel that instigated the conflict, not Iran, and further clarified that there is currently no consensus regarding a ceasefire or any cessation of military actions.
In a strong rebuttal to the notion of a ceasefire, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei firmly stated that Iran is not a nation that capitulates.
