Joining hands with various employee organizations of the state, the Haryana Government College Teachers Association has completed preparations for the siege of the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday. Union Spokesperson Confirming this fact, Dr. Ravi Shankar said, “Thousands of teachers from different colleges of the state will take part in the Chief Minister’s residence gherao program on Sunday for the restoration of old pension. Necessary instructions have been issued to the local units. Talking in detail about this, Union President Dr. Amit Chaudhary told that, “The government is considering pension as a reward. Pension is not a matter of grace based on the sweet will of the employer. It is vested under the 1972 Rules. Pension is not payment of ex-gratia, rather it is payment for past service. It is a measure to provide socio-economic justice to those who have worked hard for their employer during their heydays with the assurance that they will not be left alone in their old age.
