Gurdaspur, March 19 (press ki taquat bureau): Sunny Deol’s term as a BJP MP has sparked comparisons with Vinod Khanna, another superstar and former BJP MP, in terms of development initiatives for the Gurdaspur constituency.
Khanna was known as ‘Pullan Da Sardar’ for overseeing the construction of strategically important bridges like the Mukerian bridge over the Beas and the Kathlour bridge linking villages in Bhoa.
Deol’s team claims progress on the Makkoran Pattan bridge, which currently only exists on paper, in contrast to Khanna’s completed projects.
Khanna was actively involved in Parliament proceedings and local meetings, while Deol’s attendance and engagement have been criticized for being low compared to his predecessor.
