Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar has reacted sharply to Punjab’s withholding of Haryana’s share of water. He said that the Punjab government is deliberately doing politics and is withholding water that is rightfully due to Haryana. This is completely wrong and condemnable. The Punjab government should leave politics and give us our full share of water.
Minister Krishan Lal Panwar said that Haryana needs 9500 cusecs of water for drinking, which is our share. The Punjab government has cut it and has given only 4 thousand cusecs of water. I condemn this decision in the strongest terms. During the BBSB meeting in the past few days, a decision was also taken to provide water, but the Punjab government is cutting this water, which is very wrong.
Our right on SYL water
Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar said that water goes to Delhi from Moonak Head via Haryana. There was an Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi but they never cut the water but the Punjab government is deliberately doing politics. Not only this, the Punjab government is also doing politics on SYL water. Haryana has a right on SYL water. The Supreme Court has also given a verdict in Haryana’s favor. Punjab should also be given our share of SYL water.
Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar said that Congress also does politics on this issue. As soon as Congress leaders go to Punjab, they go and say that we will not give SYL water to Haryana. After this, the same people come to Haryana and start saying in Haryana that Haryana has a right on SYL water. In such a situation, Congress is also just doing politics on the SYL issue. They have no concern with the public.
