While the biggest loss of the potato crop in the entire Punjab was the farmers of Amloh constituency. Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna, General Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal and Chief Sevadar of Amloh Constituency, Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna expressed this while talking to reporters while attending a religious function conducted by Jathedar Jagmail Singh Chhanna at Rajgarh Chhanna of Amloh Constituency today. Raju Khanna said that even though at that time to compensate for the loss of potatoes, he surrounded the office of the then Agriculture Minister Kaka Randeep Singh and made a special report for the loss of potatoes and delivered it to the higher officials of the government. But the officials of the Agriculture Department and the Horticulture Department have not only mentioned the problem in their report, but have given hope of compensation to the farmers. He said that if the AAP government has given the compensation of potatoes to the farmers of other constituencies, then the farmers of Amloh constituency are being discriminated against. Raju Khanna requested Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to immediately distribute compensation checks to the farmers of Amloh constituency to compensate for the loss of potatoes in the past. There, the wrong report of the spoilage of potatoes has been sent to the government by the officials who have violated the rights of the farmers. Strict legal action should be taken against them too. He said that the government was yet to give compensation for the potatoes to the farmers. But now again the unseasonal rain has destroyed the crop of wheat, mustard and vegetables in Halka Amloh. The government should immediately compensate the farmers by conducting Girdavari. So that the drowned farmers can be saved. And with them, President Dr. Arujan Singh Amloh, Jathedar Jagmail Singh Chhna, Shingara Singh Namdar, Harjot Singh Chhna, Kripal Singh, Narinder Singh, Shraddha Singh Chhna, Dr. Harvinder Singh, Karamjit Singh and a large number of villagers were present.
