Chandigarh, March 15 (press ki taquat bureau): The Punjab Congress is facing embarrassment as two prominent faces of the party have left to join AAP ahead of the parliamentary elections. This has raised questions about the state leadership and the lack of cohesion among senior leaders. CLP Leader Partap Bajwa accuses Dr Chabbewal of making a deal with AAP, claiming that his brother has been promised a Cabinet berth. PPCC chief Amrinder Raja Warring describes Dr Chabbewal as an opportunist who aligns with the party in power for personal gain. The party is now brainstorming ways to prevent further defections and is considering fielding former CM Charanjit Channi in Jalandhar or Hoshiarpur.
