Kurukshetra, May 2 (Press ki taquat bureau): Abhay Singh Chautala, the INLD leader and Kurukshetra Lok Sabha candidate, made a bold statement today, accusing national parties of attempting to eliminate regional parties. He emphasized that even if he emerged victorious in the election, he would never extend his support to either the BJP or the Congress, firmly standing by his principles.
Accompanied by NCP leader Maratha Virendra Verma, who is contesting from Karnal, and SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal, Abhay filed his nomination papers today. Speaking at a ‘Namankan’ rally, he criticized the BJP for focusing on slogans like ‘400 plus’ and ‘Modi ki guarantee’ without addressing the issues of corruption and economic disparity that plagued the state over the past decade.
Abhay further highlighted the BJP’s failure to deliver on promises related to MSP, the Swaminathan report, black money, and employment opportunities. He pointed out the discrepancy in the BJP’s strategy of fielding candidates with Congress backgrounds in Haryana, where there are only 10 Lok Sabha seats, questioning their intentions and commitment to the welfare of the state.
Sukhbir Badal echoed Abhay’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of regional parties like SAD and INLD in advocating for the rights of farmers, the poor, and laborers. He urged supporters to strengthen regional parties to ensure the well-being of these marginalized groups, criticizing national parties for their detachment from the grassroots level and their focus on states with larger representation in Parliament.
