On Sunday, Bangladesh’s interim government decided to call off a previously scheduled training program for 50 judges and judicial officers in India, effectively reversing an earlier announcement. A spokesperson from the law ministry confirmed the cancellation but didn’t provide any further details. According to The Daily Star, this decision was made in response to an order from the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. The cancellation came just a day after the state-run news agency, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, reported that the training was set to take place on February 10 at the National Judicial Academy and the State Judicial Academy located in Madhya Pradesh. The judges who were supposed to participate in this program included various ranks such as district and sessions judges, additional district and sessions judges, joint district judges, senior assistant judges, and assistant judges.
