Chandigarh, March 28 (Press ki taquat bureau): Savitri Jindal, the former Haryana minister, officially joined the BJP in Hisar, leaving the Congress party after her son Naveen Jindal also switched to the saffron party.
She made the announcement on social media, citing her long service to the people of Hisar and Haryana, and her decision was supported by her family.
Savitri Jindal, recognized as the wealthiest woman in India by Forbes, has a net worth of 29.1 billion USD and has a political history in the state of Haryana.Her son Naveen Jindal, a former Congress MP, also left the party to align with the BJP and is set to contest from Kurukshetra constituency in the upcoming elections.
